Process

1. Offer Letter:

The employer issues an offer letter to the employee, which must be signed by both parties.

2. Work Permit Application:

The employer applies for a work permit through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE).

3. Entry Permit:

Once the work permit is approved, an entry permit (valid for 60 days) is issued, allowing the employee to enter the UAE

4. Medical Examination:

Upon arrival, the employee must undergo a medical examination at an authorized health center in Dubai.

5. Emirates ID Application

The employee must apply for an Emirates ID card through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).

6. Residency Visa Stamping:

The employee’s passport is submitted for residency visa stamping, which grants permission to reside in the UAE legally.

7. Labor Card:

The employee receives a labor card from MOHRE, which is mandatory for employment.

8. Residency ID

The employee receives Emirates ID from Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA, once process is complete which is mandatory).

Duration:

The employment visa is typically issued for 2 or 3 years and is renewable upon expiry.

Cost:

  • Work Permit and Entry Permit:
  • AED 1,000 - AED 3,000 (varies based on the company's classification and the employee's skill level).
  • Medical Examination:
  • AED 250 - AED 1,000 (depending on the medical center and type of test).
  • Emirates ID Card:
  • AED 170 for 1 year, AED 270 for 2 years, AED 370 for 3 years.
  • Residency Visa Stamping:
  • AED 500 - AED 1,200 (varies based on the visa duration).
